    Muzzle brakes or flash suppressors. Muzzle brakes help control movement of the muzzle as a result of recoil, while flash suppressors help redirect and decrease the flash caused by the burning gas exiting the muzzle. Most of the devices pictured looks like they would do both, to some extent.
