This helicopter showed up at our local airport today. I think they may have just stopped for fuel. Had an unusual “stinger” on the nose of the aircraft.

It is. Its an MH-47. Closly related to the CH-47, and the CH-46 (smaller Marines version of the 47). Pretty much they just added the fuel boom.
