    I know. It was certainly no nation wide panic. A few people were freaked but it made a damn good story and the publicity for Welles (and his company) was huge.

    If the military stepped forth and admitted there were aliens and showed the evidence, believe me there would be a LOT of panic. World is still not ready. Some nations never will be.
