    I’ve heard that Pitt’s a little pissed that they wound up so flagrantly departing from the book, since his like of the book is why he signed up.

    ‘Course, I’m sure he’ll grumble all the way to the bank…

    Certainly nothing like the book, sadly, but maybe it will be good on its own. One can hope . . .

    i just dont understand why they had to change it so much. it was a fine book, that would have made a fine movie. turning it into a cgi circus is just baffling to me.

    It would have been better off as a TV series on HBO or Showtime, but that would probably have led to a bunch of “Walking Dead” comparisons and arguments.
