the 2nd amendment in its entirety is one sentence:
“A well regulated Militia, being necessary to the security of a free State, the right of the people to keep and bear Arms, shall not be infringed.”
Now keep in mind that “State” was and still is the term used to designate countries. A lot of people argue about this one sentence and try to apply all sorts of interpretations but it seems pretty simple and plain. You can own weapons, but you must be part of a regulated military unit.

It’s true. I party grew up in a small redneck town where everyone had shitty riffles they had to go through miles of bureaucracy to get. And I partly grew up in Calgary.
In Calgary right now, the vast majority of homicides come from east Asian gangs stabbing each other in parking lots. These are people who aren’t patriotic enough to live in their own countries and improve things but they are proud enough to stab each other in parking lots because of some war that happened 1200 years ago. But when an Asian kills an Asian for purely nationalistic reasons it’s not a hate crime or something. The really sad thing is that these kids were mostly born in Canada and have never even seen the countries they’re killing each other over.
At some point political correctness breaks down or requires willful blindness because most of the people we try to umbrella and protect with it are from cultures that are fundamentally politically incorrect
