Venom toxins are typically proteins; some attack the blood, some the nervous system, and some simply liquify tissue. Both digestive acids and heat will break down and neutralize them.

Ingesting venom will not cause any adverse effects; unless you have an open wound somewhere along the upper digestive tract that would allow it direct contact with the blood stream or indirect contact with muscle or nervous tissue, such as a stomach ulcer.
