Another attempt to shield the President and his administration from responsibility, yet again?

I will offer congratulations on being able to spell the word “FACT”. Here is a teachable moment though using the word in bold does not an argument make despite the aesthetic quality.

Yet since one is so enamored with the word let us delve deeper.

“Yet there was NO outrage whatsoever at Bush’s failings.” The veracity of that speaks for itself. BDS is alive and well though perhaps Obamacare(tm) will solve it very easily. Take two pills and call me when the economy collapses.

If neither Fox News nor conservative radio mentioned either of those truths it is due to their having no bearing on the issue at hand. (As an aside the bill in question never passed though I only mention if for the record and nothing more.)

The death of 1 individual during any terrorist attack is one too many and especially if it is an American citizen. And that leads to the central issue of the Benghazi debacle to quote “completely ignoring the FACTS about it” which is exactly what you have done in your post. The record of events casts enormous doubts on this administration’s actions and the President’s statements. You are attempting to equate the situation and the response by the Bush administration to attacks during their tenure as being the same as current one. As such the current President is being unfairly held to account. Were it only true that this President received the level of scrutiny and skepticism by the vaunted scions of journalism though that would mean they actually did their jobs. At least some of them got more than a tingle up their leg this time around.

This embassy was the subject of two attacks in the months prior to 9/11. The last one involved an IED that blew a hole in the wall. The British ambassador survived two attempted assassinations, the last by an RPG attack. They pulled their ambassador out due to the deterioration of security in the region which had been occurring for months in advance.

And yet despite all this and requests from the ambassador himself among others no additional security resources were shifted in response to the elevated threat nor was he withdrawn.

No riot took place and nor did the tape play a role. This was a coordinated and planned attack by al Qaeda affiliates in Lbya against the U.S. that played out over 7 hours. And it was known to the administration in real time as they watched it unfold in front of them in the situation room. That was actually recorded and played during the Congressional in camera hearings Nov 16.

Yet despite their being military assets and especially air/drone either in the region or able to reach the zone that could be brought into play to possibly disrupt the attack nothing happens. Yet the President claims he gave orders to send forces to assist.

Within 24 hours of the attack the assessment is given that it was terrorism (my congratulations again on the ability of the Administration to grasp the obvious), as testified to by former head of the CIA Petaeus yet the assessment is changed by an unknown party in the Administration to remove the terrorism element from the talking points. Then begins a pantomime by the Administration that this was not terrorism but due to a nonexistent spontaneous demonstration (with accompanying mortars, and RGPs because you cannot have a demonstration without those) over a video that simply got out of hand.

The questions are there and they should have been asked by more than a few. Yet nothing is more important than ensuring the President be re elected at all costs.

As for allergens I quite agree conservatives have a reaction to the facile bile spewed by the media and the Administration. Thankfully the truth is an effective cure.
