I think it really hit a (positive) nerve for people who felt lonely or isolated in their everyday lives. Murray really did capture the role of a man who wasn’t sure why he was there or what he was doing with his life. Beyond that, nothing. It was a one-trick-pony movie. Johansson basically looked good in her underwear, and stayed out of the way while the actual actors tried to make more out of the movie than was there. She should not have gotten an award, he should have. Average movie overall.

Only made it through half of this movie. It must have gotten *much* better during the second half because everyone keeps raving about it.
