Our healthcare system is abused every second of every day. Over half of Toronto is Chinese who just moved here to have kids who will get free health care. Then they go back to Hong Kong and pay taxes (15% income tax as opposed to 50%) there.
Our health care system if I were paying an insurer would be charging me over 50K a year. So ya…but at least the homeless drug addicts get the same level health care that I do.
Impressive that the Chinese went from 11.4% of the Toronto’s population to over 50% in 6 years.
It’s closer to 60% now.

The former is socialism because someone HAS to fish and the fishermen are the ones working while the bums are sitting around eating for free. But if you teach people to fish – allow them to be innovative and build businesses they can give something even better – jobs and self-respect.

In Socialism, means of production and management thereof is in the hands of the people.
Hell is ruled by one deity, with total control and absolute power. The people have nothing that is not given to them by the deity.

Now, maybe the dudes on the committee are elected by the people (and socialist states are well-known for free elections without tampering), but ultimately, the so-called means of production are in the hands of a few again.

They are finding out even earlier as they graduate from college with useless degrees and mountains of school loan debt and find no jobs waiting on them. Why? Because jobs are made by capitalists. Not the government.
If they would major in something besides classical literature, philosophy, women’s studies, etc and other liberal bullsh*t degrees, then they would find much more job opportunities in the market.
In short, earn a practical degree that will help you find employment and then you can pay off your student loans. Job creators are not there to cater to dumbf*cks who get liberal arts degrees, they are there to make profits, expand their businesses, give raises to their employees, hire more employees, and make a positive contribution to our system. If you take on one of the aforementioned bullsh*t degrees and find that you can’t find a job with it, then I’d suggest you go back to school and learn a trade skill.
I’ve got an International Marketing Bachelors Degree and an Associates Degree in Business Admin. The jobs I’ve worked have been in sales, but have had nothing to do with the degrees I have.
I’m not saying that a degree in underwater basket weaving has any uses, but that a practical degree and 10 years of experience doesn’t mean much any more.
Only engineers, lawyers, and doctors seem to use any other their degree.
The only way to start turning things around is to apply what worked before: cut off third world nations like China, stop send any “aide” money to anyone else, and start kicking some ass again. We all got lied to about outsourcing. That should be it. No more deals with third world countries unless it’s to allow them to barter for keeping a small sliver of what we take.
