I’m always surprised when someone is surprised that cancer has grown as a leading cause of death. Sure, it’s easy to blame our shitty lifestyles and food, but we’re also living a lot longer and preventing other causes of death.
Cancer rates are still amazingly low in humans compared to other animals, it’s just that if you live long enough, you get it. No ifs ands or buts: the schematics wear down.
Yes, this information needs to be shown as a line graph based on age. If the Cancer per X is higher at younger ages that would identify lifestyle but otherwise it would be like you said, eventual failure of the system.
I’m honestly more interested in the source of this information and if I can get a handle on usable data.
“Infant Mortality” is still going to be listed as one of the Causes of Death listed. If the Lungs are not developed enough to support life, that’s “Noninfectious Airways Disease” etc. When you get right down to it, Infant Mortality is MUCH lower than it was as little as 50 years ago much less 100.
I could shoot holes in the this but does that self hanging hand fucking count as suicide?
3x chance of cancer?? Wow.

Fascinating!
Gonna have to look a couple of these up…”cerebrovascular disease” –that’s a stroke, right? And “nephropathies”…also, how do you die of senility?
“nephropathies” are kidney-related illnesses
Not counting infant mortality?
You’re SO FUCKING STUPID
Good thing that’s not in the diagram then!

gastrointestional infection… what a shitty way to die
cant tell if you did that on purpose, still made me chuckle either way
