It looks like a training seminar. By removing the magazine, you are disabling the weapon. So, I’m guessing, if the person tries to grab the gun back from you all they would get is an empty chamber.

And, my friends, that’s why you should never be so close while training a firearm on them. Even if he isn’t highly trained and can’t get it away from you, he might knock it out of your hand and/or get you into a wrestling match over it.
Worse yet, what if you were just presenting it with no intention of actually shooting him (i’m looking at you LEOs that seem to look for any excuse to pull your sidearm)? Now you have someone, with your weapon, who might actually intend to use it.
Also note that the trainer quickly creates some distance after gaining possession of the weapon. That’s because he already knows about the things I’ve been saying.
@Sentinel: He didnt rack it. I’d assume there’s still a bullet in the chamber.
Wouldn’t you want to keep the magazine in?

Let’s see this with full resistance now.
Is it just me, or firearms (especially one pointed at your head) + sudden moves = bad thing ?
You’re a smart fella.
