Future wheel is misleading, they’ve experimented with these things (motorized even) for more than a century. They haven’t caught on because of the turning issues, balance difficulties, and of course the fact that you have to look right through your wheel to see where you are going.
what if you made the one wheel wider and put a space between, until it was really two wheeled with a foot-ish wide gap?
then make the wheels so that their diameter could shrink and grow? wanna make a right turn? the right hand wheel shrinks a little, causing the bike to turn that way…
I would think turning would be hard…
