You neglected to include the rest of the statement… Which of course put the leftist spin on it.
Consider the Lawrence case decided by the Supreme Court in June. The Court determined that Texas had no right to establish its own standards for private sexual conduct, because gay sodomy is somehow protected under the 14th amendment “right to privacy”. Ridiculous as sodomy laws may be, there clearly is no right to privacy nor sodomy found anywhere in the Constitution. There are, however, states’ rights – rights plainly affirmed in the Ninth and Tenth amendments. Under those amendments, the State of Texas has the right to decide for itself how to regulate social matters like sex, using its own local standards
And once again, we get into the argument that if it’s not in the US Constitution, it automatically falls into the state’s constitution. To which I ask, where is it in the state’s constitution that they can regulate this behavior? Yeah, if it’s not in the state’s constitution then, it’s none of their fucking business. I.e., they DO have a right to privacy (by default). Pull you head out of your ass and breathe, because it’s obvious you don’t have a living brain cell left.
I think he’s referring to the 14th’s equal protection clause that requires states to offer the rights to all citizens equally. The 4th is important of course, but it really only means they have to get a warrant first. The 14th covers due process, and equal rights regarding such. So without the 14th, they could probably get a warrant to search your place, as opposed to showing reasonable cause for a warrant.
This is a well written post, with a link to back it up and no “troll bait” comments. You already have a Gravatar, why not register on site? It’s always good to have more people to properly debate with.
I won’t promise everyone’s going to agree with everything you say, (heck, I bet I can guarantee someone will still troll you at some point) but if your going to comment, it’s nice to know who’s talking.
This reply was not even to support or not support the whole sex thing. This was to point out how one can take a comment out of context and/or drop crucial verbiage and turn it in to propaganda. The omitted statement of “Ridiculous as sodomy laws may be” skewed the meaning. I find the use of this type of misinformation to be some of the lowest form of Propaganda.
It took me no effort to find the source and read the whole statement in it’s original context. Yet, so many people would blindly believe this image. Both sides are guilty of these works of misinformation.
This is not a statement about Ron Paul supporting the amendment. [I’m sure the leftist propaganda machine would want you to take this for truth without verifiable sources] This is about Ron Paul supporting the States right to govern themselves without interference from the Federal Government. The decisions of a state should be left up to the citizens of the state by means of vote.
The real core of the issue is that some people are just to polarized to objectivity analyze what is actually going on .
Agreed. And again, I invite you to register. I normally ignore anon comments because they are either inflammatory or just regurgitating talking points from one side of the other.
It’s nice to see someone debate a topic properly.
Regardless of anything said or linked above, there’s no way any form of government should be allowed to or possess the power to regulate how consenting adults can fuck. That’s just damn ridiculous.
Just chuck this in the ‘who the fuck cares what faggots think about anything’ pile and move on.
All this is really is a friendly reminder that 50 years of fucking stupidity does not mean we’re smarter or more enlightened now than thousands of years of history. Remember faggots, you’re only equal for as long as we let you be.
How to prove Ron Paul is a “far-right madman”:
1. Grab one of his books.
2. Flip to a random page.
3. Start reading.
4. If not convinced, start again at step 2.

Let me see…
Life-time politician
Run for President more than once
From Texas
Republican
Just because he would like to disclaim all of the above by using double-talk and he’s written a few books to convince you of it – still DOES NOT make it a fact.
What is it about every political Republican messiah that come out Texas that makes everyone trip over themselves like they’re the next best thing since the musical “Annie”.
Gee people, get your heads out of your asses and breathe the fresh air.
Convince us of what? Someone took part of his quote and framed in a way to make him look bad.
What double talk are you referring to? Elaborate and link to reputable sources to back your claims.
Just cause you wrote a post on a site DOES NOT make it a fact.
What is it about being from Texas or being Republican that makes it OK for you to discriminate against them before you even consider their views?

WTF? I’d generally be considered one of those left-wing liberal types (on most issues anyhow), but Ron Paul is the only Republican candidate that doesn’t make me fear for the future of the U.S.
Wow, thank you for finally framing so eloquently in a few words why we’re in the present f**cking mess we’re in. It’s exactly this type of thinking that got another Republican Texan elected recently … twice.
Ooh, Natedog’s gonna be maaaaaaaad.

14th? How about the 4th?
Sex isn’t a social matter, it’s a private matter.

Maybe bytehead is straight. Maybe he likes his wife to give it up his pooper. Ill never know, unless he tells me….
