It would have to be protecting it’s nest. There’s no other reason for it to do something like that. It’s kind of beautiful in a way, the mama bird giving up her life so that the babies can live.
Seeing a cat jump a distance approximately six times its own length, without building momentum first, makes me feel inferior as a species. Again. But then I remember we have thumbs.
