It’s worth a go if you enjoy anime as an artform. It starts simply and plays out straight forward, and then suddenly descends into a depth of symbolism and philosophy so deep it required a separate full-length movie to explain it better.

It’s one of those animes that could have been so much better if someone not Japanese had edited out the stupidly complicated parts. It’s good, but it could’ve been awesome.
Have you seen that they’re currently re-doing the project in a different form? In the end, it’ll be four full-length movies. The last one should be coming out in 2013/2014 – I’m waiting for the box set.
The only thing I know about Evangalion is that I like the cosplayers.

This is one of those anime I just haven’t gotten around it.
My two favorite anime series are Mobile Police PatLabor and Ghost in the Shell: Stand Alone Complex.
