This mentions, “Son,” so it is about Judeo-Christianity. This flowchart of Q & A does not really tell us honestly why God created people. Maybe the person who came up with the dialogue does not know. I don’t. Why would a creator God want to make such a great assortment of animals and plants too ? Who can say (?) It’s very odd. For example, some of the animals are beautiful and peaceable while others are very fearsome and violent. God apparently is pleased somehow by their existence. He, and no one else, would have been the one who built them from the ground up – completely out of his own imagination. The logic that the God of Christianity made people so that they would “love” His Son under threat of being “tortured forever” by “burning” is too simple. It might be wrong. It seems to me that in this God concept, God very much wanted – even “needed,” to serve his purposes, for humans to have free moral will on all matters. Maybe that’s a terrible idea; period. It does look like it’s true in our experience. (I think that I’m acting and choosing freely.) To be fairer to the Christian God concept it should be noted that it is not so clear to theologians who study the teachings of Jesus and the declarations made by the other authors of the New Testament books as to what “hell” does to people. In The Revelation, it is called the “second death.” In John 3: 16, Jesus says it is to “perish.” The apostle, Paul, calls it “everlasting destruction.” It might be that “hell” brings about the death of the human soul, in time, by means the Bible does not actually specify. First comes physical death; then comes the death of the immaterial psyche/soul, which is the essence of what a human person is. The N.T. of the Bible says that God is [a] spirit and is a Being. Properly speaking, God is not a person like we are persons, but ‘he’ does have some personal characteristics. God’s “Son,” means the one and only incarnation of the God Being, in the man, Jesus. To be fairer to Christian theology, while we are body and soul, Jesus is much more He is body and this same Spirit which is the God being. That is why he is called a Son. “Son” simply means God in the flesh – an incarnation of the creator God Being. The punishment of hell, according to Jesus, is given to those who refused him and his plan of salvation. Salvation is to be surely saved/spared from being judged and facing condemnation for our freely chosen immorality in thoughts and deeds. According to Jesus, if one had heard and understood his plan and yet willfully refused to act on it by the end of their life, they will be condemned [to hell] for that wrong thing done. That sin alone. OTOH, the many people throughout history who if through no fault of their own did not have the opportunity to hear, so that they could choose to obey (follow) Jesus’ call to place their trust in him for this salvation; they are judged “according to their deeds” in their lifetime. This happens at the last judgement and the Christian narrative on that can be found in The Revelation, chapter 20: verses 11-14.
I skimmed your argument and you seem to have some informed and well constructed points.
But until you scroll all the way up to the top of the page and register I’m afraid you’ll continue being just another wanker on the internet to whom I will not listen.
I think putting your name and email is just to verify you’re not one of those terrible internet robots. If you register you’ll have a display name, your display name will be displayed, and we will know it is your name.
Would having a display (fake name and tiny avatar) have made any difference regarding your acceptance of my thoughts on Christian theology? You felt confident that you were still talking to the same guy; right ?
“And who made this pic?”
“Someone who hates the Bible, yet has apparently never read it.”
“Then why did he make it?”
“Because it’s cool to be ignorant on the internet.”
“Dad, how do people defend their bible against “ignorant” people on the Internet?”
“Well, son, in this particular case they make vague accusations, trying to divert attention away from the fact that the bible doesn’t state things clearly.”
“Does that mean it can be interpreted in several ways, one of which matches the picture exactly?”
“It does son, and some Christians are too dumb to understand that. They seem to think theirs is the only correct one, and blessed by Jesus to boot!”
“Shucks, dad, that’s awfully narrow-minded.”
“Sure is, son, it sure is.”
Sums it up

No one cares about the fine details of your imaginary friend.
Didn’t you care about an imaginary person (Lucifer) ? Why?
tl;dr

Doesn’t registering have to do with being prepped to submit images? I did submit my first name and e-mail address when I commented.
Notice how you don’t see your name in your reply? That’s how anonymous looks.

^ A great example of why Anon posts should be blocked
The top one…
This is why Rick Perry *should* be ashamed of being a Christian.

You need more than “Yer wrong, ya bastard” to pose a legitimate counterargument.

Yeah, that too.
I love it when religious people (not just Christians) try to quote their own scriptures to prove the authenticity of their own beliefs.

Accepting others is one thing, accepting their myths is quite another.
Not knowing the distinction doesn’t make *you* seem very intelligent.
But hey, you can compensate by rhyming and not actually defending your faith.
The best way to make an atheist is to have them read the bible.
You will never find a more wretched hive of scum and villainy.
