Instead of focusing on rich individuals, look at the corporations. GE and Exxon posted record profits and paid nothing in taxes. Tax breaks for corporations need to be eliminated, corporations should not be allowed to make campaign donations of any kind, and every elected office should have term limits. We’d see a major change in the way things are done and a reduction of everyone’s taxes as a whole.
If a bank is failing, let it. Other banks will pick up the slack in the long term. Fannie May and Freddie Mac posted multibillion dollar losses this past quarter, and the CEO’s both got PERFORMANCE bonuses in the millions.
Corporations don’t pay taxes; they collect taxes from their customers, pay taxes on behalf of their investors and/or pass money on to the government which would otherwise go to the employees. Money for corporate taxes are taken from the investors, customers and employees. All taxes are ultimately paid by individuals.
If you hire and pay 20,000 taxpayers maybe you shouldn’t have to pay taxes?
Also Completely ignores the fact that n0t only do the business owners pay personal taxes, but most of the stockholders of these publicly traded companies the left wants to tax into penury are owned by pension plans and the little people the left claims to want to help.
This is idiotic. The mythical business man pays his taxes and takes the risk that his investment will fail. Capitalism is not private profits and public risk; the solution is less government interference with companies, less picking winners and losers and no transfers of tax money to preferred businesses.
The high income earners already pay a disproportionate share of taxes; they pay nearly all the income taxes and provide almost all revenues to the Federal Government. The top 50% of income earners provide nearly all federal revenues while the bottom 50% provide hardly anything. The top 40% pay way more in income taxes than the share of income that goes to this group. The middle 20% pays nearly the same amount of income taxes as their share of revenue. The next 20% pay much less in income taxes than their share of income. The bottom 20% have a negative tax liability through transfer payments. The higher the income the higher the tax rate and the higher the share of revenues provided to the Government.
I know that’s not the common belief but those are the facts according to government data.

“Look, way before either of us were even born someone built a road that you used once. Not that it’s legal to drive anywhere else, but let’s just ignore that. And although I had nothing to do with the road or your driving on it, this entitles me to most of the money you earn. Kthxbai.”
Um…Lizzy…you paid all those people and for those roads with the tax money from the factory sweety. Business is already accountable enough to government. The problem is how the government treats and deals with businesses and that’s why so many send their jobs away now. Further bloating government spending will only hurt America more and more.
Socialism has failed repeatedly and yet fucking idiots still cry for it. Anyone with ‘left wing’ ideals is a fucking retard who should be ignored.
Her and her husband are part of the 1% by the way, with a combined income and assets of over one million. Make of that what you will . . .

Let’s put it this way:
Imagine that everyone were to pay in taxes EXACTLY the amount of money needed to cover for all the government-provided services they use directly or indirectly. Do you think the top 1% would pay more or less than what they pay now? (Hint: they’d pay WAAAAY less.)
Let me put it in another way:
The US is a rich country. Even minimum-wage workers in the US would qualify as upper-middle-class or even rich in most countries in the world. How would you react if someone were to propose in the UN that EVERYONE in the US (even minimum-wage workers) should give up 85% of their income and the government itself should give up 85% of its budget so that this money could be given to the people in poor countries. Would your reaction be: “that’d be great, this way we would be paying our fair share” or “come and take it, assholes, we got enough nukes for the lot of you.”

What a moron. Who pays for roads, police, education, security, etc.
TAXES Do!.
Who pays most of the taxes? The top producers.
When the bottom 50% of losers in this country start building factoies and hiring people, then I will admit that Elizabeth Warren is not an IDIOT.
“Take a hunk of that and pay forward for the next kid who comes along”

Watching the right wing these days is like watching a car accident.
Because they are bought and payed for by the .1% they have now painted themselves into a corner.
The top 400 richest people in America have more wealth than the bottom 50% of the population combined.
The Right wing has to claim there is nothing wrong with this.
Though productivity has gone up for the last 30 years, income for the working class has gone down.
The right wing has to say the working class is lazy.
When Veterans who served their country start siding with the #occupy protesters,
They have to say Veterans are unpatriotic.
When the people start realizing that following the rules and working hard means you will be lucky to scrap by rather than get ahead.
They have to try and distract you.
Its like watching the Wizard of OZ beg us not to look behind the curtain.
Day in the Life of Joe Middle-Class Republican
John Gray, Cincinnati, Ohio
Joe gets up at 6:00am to prepare his morning coffee. He fills his pot full of good clean drinking water because some liberal fought for minimum water quality standards. He takes his daily medication with his first swallow of coffee. His medications are safe to take because some liberal fought to insure their safety and work as advertised.
All but $10.00 of his medications are paid for by his employers medical plan because some liberal union workers fought their employers for paid medical insurance, now Joe gets it too. He prepares his morning breakfast, bacon and eggs this day. Joe’s bacon is safe to eat because some liberal fought for laws to regulate the meat packing industry.
Joe takes his morning shower reaching for his shampoo; His bottle is properly labelled with every ingredient and the amount of its contents because some liberal fought for his right to know what he was putting on his body and how much it contained. Joe dresses, walks outside and takes a deep breath. The air he breathes is clean because some tree hugging liberal fought for laws to stop industries from polluting our air. He walks to the subway station for his government subsidized ride to work; it saves him considerable money in parking and transportation fees. You see, some liberal fought for affordable public transportation, which gives everyone the opportunity to be a contributor.
Joe begins his work day; he has a good job with excellent pay, medicals benefits, retirement, paid holidays and vacation because some liberal union members fought and died for these working standards. Joe’s employer pays these standards because Joe’s employer doesn’t want his employees to call the union. If Joe is hurt on the job or becomes unemployed he’ll get a worker compensation or unemployment check because some liberal didn’t think he should lose his home because of his temporary misfortune.
Its noon time, Joe needs to make a Bank Deposit so he can pay some bills. Joe’s deposit is federally insured by the FSLIC because some liberal wanted to protect Joe’s money from unscrupulous bankers who ruined the banking system before the depression.
Joe has to pay his Fannie Mae underwritten Mortgage and his below market federal student loan because some stupid liberal decided that Joe and the government would be better off if he was educated and earned more money over his life-time.
Joe is home from work, he plans to visit his father this evening at his farm home in the country. He gets in his car for the drive to dads; his car is among the safest in the world because some liberal fought for car safety standards. He arrives at his boyhood home. He was the third generation to live in the house financed by Farmers Home Administration because bankers didn’t want to make rural loans. The house didn’t have electric until some big government liberal stuck his nose where it didn’t belong and demanded rural electrification. (Those rural Republican’s would still be sitting in the dark) He is happy to see his dad who is now retired. His dad lives on Social Security and his union pension because some liberal made sure he could take care of himself so Joe wouldn’t have to. After his visit with dad he gets back in his car for the ride home.
He turns on a radio talk show, the host’s keeps saying that liberals are bad and conservatives are good. (He doesn’t tell Joe that his beloved Republicans have fought against every protection and benefit Joe enjoys throughout his day) Joe agrees, “We don’t need those big government liberals ruining our lives; after all, I’m a self made man who believes everyone should take care of themselves, just like I have”.
The Right calls this “Class Warfare” – expecting people to pay their fair share of the infrastructure that made them rich.
Instead of focusing on rich individuals, look at the corporations. GE and Exxon posted record profits and paid nothing in taxes. Tax breaks for corporations need to be eliminated, corporations should not be allowed to make campaign donations of any kind, and every elected office should have term limits. Money for corporate taxes are taken from the investors, customers and employees. All taxes are ultimately paid by individuals.
How is it a “fair” share when someone has to pay more than others?
If you hire and pay 20,000 taxpayers maybe you shouldn’t have to pay taxes?
Also Completely ignores the fact that n0t only do the business owners pay personal taxes, but most of the stockholders of these publicly traded companies the left wants to tax into penury are owned by pension plans and the little people the left claims to want to help.
This is genius. Love it.

Is she wearing that infinity or is it part of the picture
I’m trying to send a donation for a bullet proof vest and a Private Security Detail for this lovely Idealist….whish the US had more of her.
