    A clip just holds onto the rounds. A magazine is the part of the weapon that the cartridges feed into the chamber from.

    Nimbo explained it. Clips hold on to the rounds, much like paper clips hold on to paper.

    Easy way to tell the difference, magazines have springs. Clips don’t.
