I played through most of this game back in the mid-90s. Lucas Arts’ finest graphic adventure. There are flaws, but the humor and style make up for it all. Give it a try, it’s at least worth playing a bit.
I remember playing it as a kid and not getting why everyone thought it was so funny. Then I picked up a big collection of old LucasArts games with ScummVM, and had some hearty chuckles. I was inspired to pick up the new ‘episodic’ Sam & Maxes, and almost without exception they’re full of hearty chuckles and laugh out loud moments, which keep you from bashing your head against the wall during some of the more devilish puzzles. Much like the original, really.
Sam And Max Hit The Road was a hell of a game.
Not played the episodic releases yet, but they look tempting.
The cartoon was pretty awesome too bt findinf eDonkey links is troublesome.

SCUMM rules.
Very funny game, not as good as the cartoon series though.
Great fun. Lots of lunatic humor.
As a kid I played this when there wasnt much else.
Now I play it because its both a throwback to that sort of gaming but mostly because its really fun/funny
