    I believe this is actually a red-winged blackbird attacking a red-tailed hawk. Generally gangs of birds swarm hawks to drive them away, to protect themselves and their young. They have both if these birds where I am from back in Colorado, tho I have only seen small birds driving crows away. Hawks can usually do whatever the fuck they want.

All birds have forelimbs modified as wings and most can fly, with some exceptions including ratites, penguins, and a number of diverse endemic island species.

    Also, according to the dictionary ancient birds, as opposed to non-ancient or ‘modern’ birds, are dead or deceased, meaning they are no longer living. ~:P

    Bird can also be used as a verb meaning to observe or identify wild birds in their natural habitat, as in “I am going to go birding now.”
