that is not true, you can make almost anything, in one demonstration they made a set of building that looked exactly like xbox360’s. Exactly like them. n the creature editor demonstrations you could make infinitely different creatures with the role of a mouse wheel.
The reason that there’s no ‘online play’ is because each player has their own contained version of the universe. I remember reading somewhere that every day, the game with upload new data into your universe, and send out the data in your universe. I don’t really know how to explain it, but it was a really neat concept, and I cannot wait for this game.
My friend bought be a pre-order for this for christmas. I can’t wait. I have my receipt tacked onto the wall above my calendar so I don’t lose it.
Unfortunately i’m gonna have to go with Caio on this one. There has been soo much hype about the infinite flexibility, and organically driven implementation of creature creation/evolution in the game but little to show for it…
They will probably get the civ/sim code right, as it’s been done to death. It’s the evolutionary creature creation feature that I get the feeling we are gonna get seriously hosed on…
After witnessing the huge fail that Masters of Orion 3 was, I always remain sceptical about amazing promises and loud claims of huge depth and complexity. The more the producers promise, the bigger flop the game will be, IMO.
Also, isn’t this vaporware already? I mean, how long’s it been in the making?
What the hell is spore?
If it’s truly as in depth as they claim it is, then yes.
i heard the creature creator was dumped :Y
Wha? I don’t see how…if they did that, they’d be taking away a rather huge aspect of the game.
I will be severely disappointed if it does not live up to the hype. However, I have a hard time seeing it fall short of expectations.
mkl lies to you.
They’re releasing the creature editor before the release date so you can play with it before you get the actual game. Kinda like a demo.
Nope, Episode I Syndrome: there’s been so much hype, it couldn’t live up to it all if it came with a free blowjob.
This game looks to be the most incredible incredible ever incrediblized.
HOLY CRAP A BUZZSAW ON THE TAIL!?!?
It’s a freaking video game.
that game is going to be fucking amazing
It’s going to fail. There will be hard limits what kind of creatures you can make, and I there won’t be any actual onlnine play, just auto-downloads.

Games never, ever, ever live up to the hype. In fact hype and goodness are inversely proportional.
I’m willing to bet it will have all the features, but be bulky, buggy and virtually unplayable.

Just can’t wait to have an army of technologically superior phallic monsters destroy my civilization.
