I can understand how magnus feels. personally, i loved the movie, but someone expecting a repeat of Sotd could be disappointed. A plot about zombies is inherantly is more zany. Hot Fuzz is more subtle. It’s a different genre, and people expecting a ZomRomCom might not get into it. I fucking love those guys.
Truth be told, I was slightly disappointed when I first saw it. I still claimed I liked it and will recommend it to anybody… but I think that’s just out of guilt of not entirely liking it.
This movie was not very good. It dragged on quite a bit and the jokes were few and far between. It was too forcefully satirical and lacked the fluid flow of Shaun of the Dead which I will always compare it to because its made by the same people and stars the same people and should have been better since film makers prove their worth withe their sophomore efforts hence no third movie by the same guy with the same actors. Cause this one wasn’t good enough.
So there you have it. RSI will now murder me in the name of his mother. Bruce.
oh wow…i just wiki’ed the expression “tongue in cheek” to make sure it works for what i was trying to say, and oh the coincidence…
“Examples of films that are made in a tongue-in-cheek way are Scream, A Midsummer Night’s Sex Comedy, Shaun of the Dead, Demolition Man, True Lies, or Hot Fuzz. Note that these films are still faithful to their genre (slasher, musical, zombie, action, spy, and police-thriller respectively) and are not out-and-out parodies such as Airplane! or Scary Movie.”
this movie ftw. its very funny
If You liked Shawn of the Dead then you would like this one. its a little less funny then SotD but only alittle.
Whoever told you that this movie sucked probably needed the captions on so that they could understand the English that was spoken in it.
yeah, its good. shaun of the dead is better, more crazy, but this movie is made with equal attention to detail.
It was funny, they did a really good job with the characters and it was constantly entertaining.
It was mediocre. Shawn of the Dead was hilarious. Hot Fuzz was not.
Better than a kick in the asshole but not by much.
I’m biased though. I love getting kicked in the asshole.
hahah wtf magnus

I thoroughly enjoyed Hot Fuzz
I enjoyed Hot Fuzz.
loved it, but didn’t we have this discussion on a different hot fuzz pic a while ago?
The movie kind of starts slow, but it is totally worth the kickass last twenty minutes.
I could just agree with everyone or stfu, but I’ll continue on to say that it was pretty damn good.
If you wanted to another Shaun of the Dead, you should’ve gotten yourself a copy and fucking watched it again.
Hot Fuzz was fantastic in its own right and I’m tired of people needlessly comparing it to Shaun just because the same guys made it.
@... caption
false
its its own movie
I liked Hot Fuzz better then Shawn of the Dead.
*better than*.
Damn it.
I enjoyed Hot Fuzz.
This was definitely one of the funniest movies I’ve seen. I highly recommend it to anyone with an actual sense of humor.
Truth be told, I was slightly disappointed when I first saw it. I still claimed I liked it and will recommend it to anybody… but I think that’s just out of guilt of not entirely liking it.
“Have you ever fired a gun into the air and gone ‘aaah!’???”
“NO I HAVE NOT FIRED A GUN INTO THE AIR AND GONE AHH!!!”
This movie killed my mother because it was so good.
Do not say this movie is bad, or I will kill you. To honor my mother.
Magnus, you’re on the ‘kill that motha fucka list.”
I’m just in love with Simon Pegg is the most heterosexual way possible that a man can love another man.
*throws the shovel away*
I guess I was too vague.

Cause you gots two dads homolmes!
I think you’re just too slow to get most of the jokes magnus. Most of the humor was VERY tongue in cheek.
