“I was in new yerk once! I was on a train and it went right through it. I even flew over the state once too!”
Then you are luckier than you realize, my friend…

As a former New Yorker (New Yerker?), I feel the need to point out that Brooklyn and Staten Island are not the county names – they’re the borough names. Brooklyn is Kings County, and Staten Island is Richmond County.
As not a New Yorker, I’d like to point out that all five boroughs are legally constituent counties as well as being boroughs for administrative purposes.
.
I spent three hours in the Airport there once. I now consider myself a New Yorker and I feel entitled to constantly point out to other people odd trivia about New York, to tell people how street tough they aren’t, and to bask in the urban grittiness that feeds my raw manly energy.
