Hearing that they had just shelved any future development and support for the Netscape browser, I found the original splash page for the program. I remember seeing this on a nearly daily basis for the first few years of my internet life.
It was great. My first websites were coded and viewed through netscape. I’ll miss you netscrape!
Ah, college…
Oh the memories keep flooding back…
Oh, man. I remember when netscape was the only semi-good browser, when I was a very very young man, before IE even came out. I stubbornly used Netscape well into the 2000s just out of a sense of loyalty and respect, till one day, maybe two or three years ago, they released a version that crashed daily. C’est la vie.
Ah, all that lives must die. Netscape burned twice as bright, but only half as long.
good night sweet prince..
And what was all that shit about Vietnam? What the *FUCK* has anything got to do with Vietnam? What the fuck are you talking about?

Yeah, I may miss the memories. But I do remember Netscape’s stupid trial period when you installed their software and it forced you to cough up the dough if you wanted to use the advanced features. IE was too crappy back then (v 1.x or 2.x, can’t remember), and piracy was virtual nonexistent back then (at least for me), so it all boiled down to using a software that was intentionally broken like Netscape or a real broken software like IE.
Oh, and those were the days of 56k and AOL.
Meh, Nutscrape.
