As a non-american, I’m going to admit that although I once lived in the polution-chocked hole of homelessness, crack and trailerparks that you euphemistically call a country, I have not quite been able to grasp all the subtleties of your political system. To me, it seems like you dig up whatever old-money “my family hasn’t worked in x generations”-types you can find, give them the candidacy, and make your decisions based on who can madly flail their arms and scream theologically and scripturally shallow mockeries of what you people wrongly understand to be christianity the loudest.

But apparently, I wasn’t cynical enough about American politics, I reguarded the mean American intelligence as too high and I stacked up too much faith in the US’s silent but rational majority.

You see, I was a bit confused about what the above quotes actually meant, but I assumed they had to do with Hilary Clinton in some way. So I looked up “Arkham Asylum: A Serious House on Serious Earth” and found out that it was not, in fact, some angry political tract, but a 1989 comic book which is not only considered non-cannon, but is considered non-cannon *within the DC alternate universe* and draws heavily from christian mystery plays and Karl Jung.

Diabeetus (clever spelling there, by the way), I can see that the thin line that even the craziest of us draw between fiction and reality has never existed for you. Normally people like you find an old copy of doom, play it for a couple hours, shoot up their school and become an hero. I can only wish the same fate upon you, because you are even more of a nutjob than your average american political extremist. In a normal country, the government would run humane sanitariums where you could be locked up somewhere where you couldn’t hurt yourself and others. Unfortunately, it seems that your copatriots have given you *a passing shrug*, as if your politically ideas were even vaguely legitimate if uninteresting. Have my fucking eyes gone insane?

Reboot: After some extensive googling, I’ve found that quote in context. Apparently she was speaking at a $10,000-donation dinner and announcing that she’d be repealing Bush’s famous economy crippling upper-class tax cuts. I have to say I’m strongly against this. I recently moved to a border town, and now that the famously fisically reponsible conservatives have sent you on the fast track to the third world, I can cross the border and buy everything for dirt fucking cheap. Just last week I drove to Montana and bought a top-of-the-line external hard-drive for fucking pennies. If any of the old-money canditates (everyone but Hilary, looks like) win, this time next year, wee Montana orphans will be begging me to buy chiclets for a dime. Previously, I’d have to fly back to Brazil to get a deal that good. So fuck Hilary.

But, yes, I now see that it does take a modicum of wit to call a politician “two-faced”. Only the risky avant-guarde intellectual gypsies that write the newspaper comics – from Shoe to Family Circus – have managed to have the curage and cleverness to take such a bold stand. I’m afraid I was just too overwhealmed by the fucking 29 images in two days that diabeetus has blessed us with to make any sense out of this. Especially when most of his posts and threads have been along the lines of “I have nothing substantial to say, except that I hold far-right wing convictions, and am alarmed by the current Godless state of America.” As well as a post about his own name, recycling a great venerable, antedeluvian meme. That’s kind of like naming yourself, and advertising your bombastic, amazing entrance to an internets blog with ‘a nice cup of shut the fuck up’. Seriously, I’m glad, because normally I’d have to scour the internets for litterally minutes in order to find something that deep, original, entertaining and engaging.
