One of the best things I’ve seen Beta Ray Bill in was the Planet Hulk animated movie. If you can accept a big green Hulk with some intelligence, it’s an awesome waste of 80 minutes.

Bruce Banner was a frothing angry man, and the Hulk was brainy.

He’s a bad guy I recall, why he’s a hero? Marvel screwing things up again?
Allegiances shift and even the worst villain may temporarily fight for the side of ‘good’ if the situation makes sense, such as a giant tear in the universe, etc.
He was a bad guy because he fanatically worked for the Kree government, who often had problems with Earth. On the kree planet, he is a hero of the people.
I liked Quasar in Marvel Two-In One #53. Old school, baby.
