The batman pin looks like the emblem of the GRU, Russia’s military intelligence service. Given all the dozens of different security organizations that have come and gone during both the Soviet Union and Russian Federation it’s pretty unique that the GRU has remained mostly the same since it was founded in 1918. Even when the Soviet Union fell in ’91, when the KGB was diced into five ministries, the GRU was untouched.
This guy is wearing a VDV (Airborne troops) beret, so if you put that together with the GRU pin it probably means he is, or was, spetsnaz GRU. Whereas the spetsnaz teams under the MVD and FSB behave like glorified SWAT teams specializing in counter-terrorism, the spetsnaz GRU is comparable to the Delta Force or Navy SEALs working within the armed forces.
And I’m not too good at identifying medals, but the large silver one with the silver ribbon trimmed in blue on the left is the Soviet variant of the Medal of Valour.
Striped shirt is not just Spetznaz, but in combination with his beret, batpin, and chest fulla bling the juxaposition of his ‘seen the elephant’ eyes and carnations was noteworthy to me.
looks french
no profit in peace :S
I wonder what he had to do for that batman pin?
Become an orphan?

TL;DR This old flower carrying badass has probably seen some serious shit, that’s why he gets a batman pin.
No no no no
he IS batman.
Plus he is wearing the trademark blue and white striped Spetsnaz shirt
Carnation MkII? He needs a magpul front grip and a hug.
Nose vs Fist = fist wins.
Red Army: We will rape you, but we will bring flowers.

This is clearly a bad assed mo-fo

Looks like Christopher Walken. That would explain a lot of the badassery.
