Picked this thing up for $30 at ross.
It was $60, but I had $36 in store credit. %10 tax = $30 remainder.
I used $30 from the remaining $100 I have after the thermal take v3 and GMC bulldozer case. I am still getting $60 back total for mail in rebates for those, as well as another $15 for the aerocool touch 1000 fan controller thing.
I would say I’m managing my financed fairly well for being out of a job.
Going to sell the old nikon 3200 I was using before (this one is much better) and probably break even for the camera.
I know it’s not a great camera, but for the price?
Everyone post your camera (with click-able links if possible)
IF YOU GIVE HIM ATTENTION, HE WILL JUST JACK OFF WITH YOUR RAGE

nice hands.
casemods’ hands are McS’s version of Megan Fox’s thumbs

Looks like mine tops yours by 1.9 megapixels
that looks expensive.. too expensive… lol
www.dooyoo.co.uk/digital-camera/samsung-l313/
mine beats yours by 1.2mp 😛
(awaits the next slightly better camera to come along)
1. Nice phone man…really matrix looking ( I like)
2. Mega pixels don’t mean shit, and only SLR’s and related cameras can actually take advantage of the high resolution. Want easy proof? Take the highest res pic you can with your camera. Let’s say 10.2 mp like this one. Now edit with paint. Notice how it’s all blurry in full res? Now shrink it till it gets viewable…see how much smaller it has to be? That’s because point and shoot cameras simply project the image onto a bigger canvas, so to speak. It’s not actually capturing full 10.2 mp, it’s merely expanding it for no apparent reason…
Yeah…no.
I can’t wait to see the pictures.
You have a camera already, but you being fiscally responsible by buying another while not having a job. Is there a level below being “n*gger rich”?
^that^
um, yeah. he definitely bought it
Well the plan was to sell the nikon for the price I paid for this and have a better camera for free.
But this camera is shit and I took it back.
Also, I take pictures of stuff to sell all the time, and need as good of camera as possible.
Just don’t install Kodak EasyShare. That software is dangerously stupid.
So…we want him to install it, right?
I installed it and I don’t see what you mean?
It’s geared towards people who upload a lot to youtube/facebook/flikr…it’s basically a camera that helps people who aren’t good with electronics.
Then it might as well be Apple.
I’m rocking a Panasonic LX3: www.dpreview.com/reviews/panasonicdmclx3/
Didn’t want to go with a DSLR because of size, this one is more pocket-able, has a fast f2.0 lens for great low-light performance & can record 720p video. Took it on many vacations and it has done the job and then some.
Cost: $499 2 years ago, can be had for $325 now.
I agree on the pocket-able aspect.
That’s why I don’t do DSLR’s…not very practical unless you PLAN on taking pictures…
That thing look sort of old though, IMO…but the 720p video is a great feature.
I was thinking about getting a sony bloggie or whatever it’s called. It takes 720p video and obviously takes great photos, but the main feature is that the camera swivels and you can look at the screen while you are self video-graphing (or blogging)

Frys has something like it on the site for $90 but it’s un-available and the actual one is $100 more…
A KODAK?
God did you lose a bet?
Nikon, Cannon, hell ANYTHING but a friggan craptsastic Kodak….
Hey it’s not bad TBH. About the same as the nikon, but you have to manually set options…where as the nikon you can just put it on macro or the camera picture setting and it sets the settings pretty good on it’s own.
Fits nicely in your purse so you don’t have to sacrifice manpons.
Canon EOS 20D, getting a 50D next month.
And to all: MP are NOT the single most important issue when it comes to digicams: sensor and optic quality are.
…and don’t forget discount prices at Ross. I mean come on…. why pay more than $30 for a digital camera?
haha that made me lol
Agreed. PAS cams can only use about half what the max MP are. Like, you know how you have to resize the picture for it to be clear with viewed in full? What’s that called?
Downscaling? What you mean is you can’t get decent crops from PAS images. But then again, the intented use for a PAS is not the same that for a SLR.
Yeah, sure, it looks nice and all, but can you get the date right on the pictures?
I set it wrong on purpose…
my nikkon cost me $2500 AUD
i bet it wins in the pixel contest.
Obviously you think mega pixels are everything, when in fact they are not.
What Nikon do you have?
Take a picture of you hanging yourself…
WELL MY SENSOR IS ASSEMBLED FROM FOUR CMOS CHIPS INTO ONE FUCKING CAMERA WHICH I STOLE FROM FUCKING ASSEMBLY LINES. MY LENS IS FROM GRAVITATIONAL DISTORTION OF LIGHT.
BEAT THAT, NIGGERS.
Prove it

looks like my camera beats yours by pure awesomeness
Hasselblad 500cm
I have a Canon D-SLR. Love it to bits. Point-and-click cameras don’t cut it for me anymore, although they are starting to catch up.
Anyways, you can only really appreciate the full quality and resolution of however many megapixels you have when you can shoot in raw format. Jpeg automatically compresses the file so you lose out there. Plus I find a point and click far too restrictive… great for snapshops, but not for photography.
