I would say this Photo has been shot during a Test of the Ejection Seat.
It is clearly a Trainer or Doule Seater Version; and it’s flying without Canopy – which i would say is rather rare on normal flight
(SU27 is supersonic….) 😉
And “normal” Ejection (which you do in an emergency) wouldn’t remove the whole Canopy (that would take WAY too long) but depending on System frags the Glass with a detonation cord that’s put in the Canopy or breaks through the Glass which has predetermined Fragmentation Points, so it does not wound or kill the Pilot.

“Those photos are real and were made during the filming of the Russian movie involving jet fighter stunts. In one episode they had to film the jet without a canopy, so rather to film it on the ground they decided to hire a high-class pilot to make a real flight without that glass thing. He had to take off a few times on such plane in order to film enough material to be included in the final footage. “
do those jets always look like they’re breaking in half or is that due to the ejection seat?
That’s what it’s supposed to look like.
Either the pilot shot this guy out for the lulz, or cracked on off and the passenger just had to get out.

Or the pilot just felt like riding with the top down.
