    Recently saw this movie called “Perfume: a murder story” (really fuxin weird flick, not enough explosions) and this image looks very similar to a scene from the movie. Curious if by chance this was the bridge it was filmed at.

    Ponte Veccio is in Italy, Perfume was filmed in Germany, France, Spain and the US. I imagine it could have been in France or Spain, they have similar places like this.

    You should read the book. It totally has explosions. And even more naked women.

    Lived there for a few months.

    Florence is a shit hole. Dirty. Unkempt. Streets are more holes than pavement. Public transit sucks. Residents have an impressive lack of class. Prostitutes are easy to find – and typically not worth looking for.

    However.

    If you love statues, Florence has some of the best. You can find cities with more, but not of the same quality. The statuary is simply stunning.
