Metal Gear Solid, far and large my favorite video game. Ever. Released October 21, 1998, as a 9 year old I loved this game and still do today. Oh, might I add, the game references numerous time KURT FUCKING RUSSELL as he portrayed S.D. “Snake” Plissken in “Escape from N.Y.” and “Escape from L.A.” Liquid and Solid Snake even share similarities to him as well. What more can you ask for in a game. Nothing. Kurt Russell, easter eggs to beat the game on the back of the actual CD case, and gratuitous amount of neck-snapping. This game had, and still has, it all.
