I don’t see zip ties. Are you talking about the bands around the handles of the trimmers to hold the trigger down? Looks like all the trimmers are bolted in place. I guess there is a danger of the thing falling over, but since I see some kind of cable attached to the handle I’m guessing that it works on the lawn mower principle of “if I let go, it loses power”.
I feel that way about hedge trimmers in general after a guitar playing co-worker did permanent damage to his hand with a trimmer. I wear the thickest damn gloves when I use mine now.
I had the hold bar on one just completely disintegrate on me once, it was spooky to learn it was just a hollow plastic bar and not something with metal in it.
That is god damned ingenious.
I’m not sure I’d want something like that on what looks like a pendulum that swing towards your face if one of those zip ties dies.
