I pulled this from the $1 bin at my local comic shop and it’s worth at least that much to read just once, there’s some great art and a story that’s pretty different from the Superman stuff we’re getting lately. He’s a more grounded character, with a more grounded supporting cast and the story is far slower than a modern book at well, with some space left for the story to properly develop. The Lex Luthor portion of the story is pretty plain, with some gang related weapons being used to disrupt trash collection / disposal in Metropolis, but the fictional book that Ken is writing is pretty interesting with how it’s reflecting the “real world” that Superman is living in.
I’m still somewhat confused about why the obvious “yellow sun” part of the title never really gets brought up in the novel or Lex Luthor story inside this comic.
