I’m sure this will be considered a hot take, but good. It’s obvious what the task was and it’s just as obvious that the family that’s making a big deal about this is just stirring the pot in fake outrage, and I don’t think the school was wrong to point out that this kind of obvious bullshit was a bad fit for their organization.
Not to say this school is perfect or anything, but that’s a separate conversation to be had.
Fake outrage….?
Seems legit outrage to me.
“Actually, what Castaneda wrote (according to a police report) was “We have been sending this homework assignment home for years, and you’re the only one complaining about it. Just cover your child in pillows or pajamas then.”
As if a picture of a clothed or covered-up child was the exception to the rule.”
that’s the type of fake outrage I’m talking about. in what universe would any parent thing this is supposed to be a naked photo?
Item 1 of Monday’s and Tuesday’s homework is equally disturbing in a different way. Also, I’ve just read the passage in question and it’s bollocks.
Asking a kid to do this is creepy.
WTF?!
