Conan the Destroyer: Directed by Richard Fleischer. With Arnold Schwarzenegger, Grace Jones, Wilt Chamberlain, Mako. Conan leads a ragtag group of adventurers on a quest for a princess.

Arguably better than the first one, but that’d be a fun argument to have, as both films have exceptionally strong portions and co-stars. In this case Arnold is joined by Grace Jones and Wilt Chamberlain, both of whom did a fantastic job as Conan’s traveling buddies.

    I’ll take that argument.

    First one has James Earl Jones as the bad guy. He turns into a freaking snake!

    “Why do you cry?”
    “He is Conan, Cimmerian. He will not cry, so I cry for him.”

    I’d argue the soundtrack is better (even with the Holst stealing).

    The “sub boss” bad guys are cooler.

    THE WHEEL!

    Better camel punch.

    Passing out in his dinner.

    The actress playing the princess in The Destroyer is not very good.

    The fight with the wizard in The Destroyer is probably cooler than the final fight.

    I for one enjoyed the mirror battle the most, it felt like Conan was going to get destroyed because of all the magic, but then he started smashing…and it went better for him!

    James Earl Jones turning into a snake was a huge let down though, there wasn’t really a good snake battle in that film.
