Texas GOP declares Biden illegitimate, demands end to abortion

“We hold that acting President Joseph Robinette Biden Jr. was not legitimately elected by the people of the United States,” says a resolution acted on by Texas Republicans.

    I’m so old, I remember when Red States used to complain about all those “Coastal Elites” lookin’ down on ’em. I’m not so sure that performative ignorance is the best solution, but, you do you, Texas. [smdh]

    Is it bad that I do not hate this idea? Cut off all federal funding to Texas, withdraw the boarder patrol to New Mexico and Oklahoma, and kick all representatives from the state out of congress. Their power grid is already separate, so that would not be an issue, and Mexico has already set up that import trucking is coming through other states.

    We should let them secede. 38 electoral votes that they consistently waste on the WORST candidate, poof. 13 seats in the House and 2 Senators, poof. All federal funding, poof. Their military bases actually belong to the US, so they have to come up with their own military. They have to invent their own currency and it’ll have nothing behind it. No federal aid when their cobbled-together power grid fails AGAIN.

    I give ’em six months before they’ll agree to any concessions to be let back in.
