Set in Cape Cod during the 1991 pop culture enlightenment, this is the first movie that I think I’ve seen Timothée Chalamet in other than his somewhat confused performance in Dune, and his acting and presence is much more solid in “Hot Summer Nights”. Alongside a favorite of mine, Maika Monroe and new to me dreamboat Alex Roe, this is a solid story with relatable situations that resulted in a great movie.
I wasn’t too surprised to see the A24 logo on the film, they’ve really been getting their hands on some solid films lately.
