It was on my list of movies that I own but hadn’t watched, which I guess is because I had watched it last before I was logging movies. I was happy to go back to watch it again though, as Carrey really did well with the entire premise, even introducing the novel character of “The Claw” something that the insufferable Jerry tries to imitate, but fails every single time. Jerry btw, is played by Cary Elwes, famous to me for The Princess Bride.
Fantastic movie and has aged surprisingly well.
Nice movie!
Is it stupidly self denying if I avoid films whose stars (or their beliefs and politics) I don’t hold with? Carrey, Heston, Cruise represent a basket of crazy beliefs that taint whatever they make (imho).
Why in the world are you lumping Carrey in with the other two?
If I had to guess, crazy ass anti-vax (ex?) partner in Jenny McCarthy?
Yes, he has come out with some cranky ant-vax stuff himself as well. But otoh he’s said sensible things about the catholic church, charlton heston, organised religion… So I’ll put him in my “undecided” box for now.
