I was somewhat tentative about this show, but figured that Oscar Isaac would be able to pull it off. They were only given six episodes to do the story in, so while the entire thing feels rushed, the full story is laid out, though there are a TON of unanswered questions by the end of it. Rumor has it that there was only a single project on Oscar Isaac’s contract, so this might be it for the character, at least the character without a mask on, right? Because of this limited time they have with Isaac there’s a likely intentional lack of the normal MCU connectivity, so no guest appearances by SHIELD recruiters or transdimensional teens.
I’m happy with the end result, but I think they could have gone a full 10 or 11 episodes to flesh out the universe, particularly with the new character they premier by the end of the show, that one came out of no where and completely blew me away with how cool they ended up being. We’ll likely see more of them!
