This definitely feels like it was made for direct to streaming audiences, so I was definitely surprised when it was only in theaters for a (short?) time period. It finally came to Paramount Plus, so I got to watch it on my free month’s worth of the service. This isn’t the first time that I’ve used it, but now the shine is off and I’m now certain that I won’t be renewing the account when it comes time to actually pay for it. In theory I’m on the “no ads” model, but ever episode has an ad before it. Also, it rolls right into another movie or episode when your selected content is done, something that I’ve ripped on netflix about before, and I’ll rip PP for it too, it’s a lousy thing to do and I’d like to be able to turn it off.
This is supposed to be about the Sandra Bullock movie “The Lost City” though, so I guess I’ll say this, it’s entertaining and I got a couple pretty good laughs out of it. If you’re looking for some easy comedy with beautiful on location scenery, combined with terrible green screen, all with the reliability of Channing Tatum and Sandra Bullock, this might do it for ya.
