This isn’t really news… and it’s certainly not as “dark” as the tweet suggests. It was the formalization of her defense’s claim, acknowledged, and unopposed by the prosecution, that one of the counts against her was simply a repeat of another count. She’s still likely going to jail for a looooong time. The Judge also refused to overturn the jury’s verdict based on the notion that one of the jurors failed to disclose that they’d been sexually assaulted.
