Good luck getting him to pay. The only reason he only lost ONE billion is his refusal to pay people what he owed.

Two points: 1) The money is *refundable* once he complies with the subpoenas, so… it’s not all that big a deal. 2) He has assets in New York… real estate, and likely, bank accounts; the courts don’t *need* cooperation from Mr. Trump; they simply take what they want.
His lawyer claims they’ll appeal, but, it’s not clear to whom they’d appeal, and, in any case, it requires no great act of prescience to know that the ruling will be upheld, if there is in fact any way to appeal it. (And it seems unlikely that a stay on those fines will be granted pending appeal… so… pointlessness….)
Destruction of his real estate business in New York in, say, a year, is not meaningfully different from destruction of the business in a week. The delay tactic is unimpressive; he’s stretched this rubber band as far as it’s going.
I’m more concerned that he will just pass of natural causes before anything really catches up to him.
I was kinda hoping it will be by auto-erotic asphyxiation.
While being embarrassing and undignified (and both concepts being alien to Trump anyway) it’s far too quick. I prefer the thought of a series of strokes leading to locked-in body syndrome. Meanwhile the bankruptcy and criminal charges against his spawn leave his “business empire” bankrupt, resulting on this husk of a monster being confined to a publicly funded unmonitored care home where he languishes in damp stinking bed sheets staring at a broken TV screen 24 hours a day. His brood being themselves broke and imprisoned by this time, they have other things to worry about than him, and he is left solely in the care of a quietly efficient malicious and sadistic psychopath who had set about inveigling herself into the position of being his “carer” to ensure that the two of them can enjoy the rest of Trump’s life exploring the more outré reaches of cruelty together.
