I can only think of one other streaming service that didn’t have a “with ads” level of subscription, and that’s Disney. It was always going to happen, especially when other smaller services were able to successfully launch with ads and subscribers were just fine with it.
That being said, I did cancel my Paramount+ subscription because they were running five damn ads every break.
subscribers are NOT fine with it , that’s why we have stayed with netflix and their numbers are so much higher than the small guys. netflix has 40 million more than number 2 amazon and almost double disneys subscribers. hbomax only comes up with 45 million and NO commercials.
A workaround option for paramount+ is to add it to an existing Amazon Prime account, that removes or at least significantly reduces the number of commercials.
