I’ve been looking for this movie for years, I think it had a limited released in 2019, then it just sorta disappeared. Luckily I keep track of movies that look interesting over on 2queue.com, and I finally found it on a random streaming site, though it had been renamed to “Astro Kid” which is fine, I can see why it would be renamed from “Willy” to something less able to be compared to well, willies. The movie itself is a well done “marooned on a desert island” style story with lots of character growth, adorable companions, and scary creatures to avoid or confront.
It’s one of the rare / foreign animation films that feels like it has staying power, so check it out when you have the opportunity.
