I don’t think it’s the UK. It’s almost certainly not the Lake District, although I suppose it could be Scotland. I’ve seen people queuing to get access to a restricted area, such as Striding Edge, but I’ve never seen queuing like this just to get a photo. Although I must admit once a queue is formed we Brits find it difficult to resist joining.

Britons enjoy and take pride in ‘queuing up’ to take turns. Muricans less so, also much less awareness/care if someone else is trying to take a photo.
