There’s a line in this film that really stuck with me: “I’m only 25 and tryin to figure myself out.” I remember being 25 and thinking that, assuming that it would eventually ‘just happen’. Then 30, then 35, then 40, and I’m still trying to figure it out. The trauma that Scott went through wasn’t exactly what I went through, but it was pretty damn close. I think I’ve made some recent decisions that will get me from waiting for it to happen to making it happen. Bill Burr is here as the ‘new guy’ in Scoot’s life and boy howdy do the predictable sparks fly in entertainingly predictable ways.
It’s good, but if you feel like you’re in a rut in your life, this isn’t going to make you feel any better.
