Jon Favreau once joked that Book of Boba Fett was going to be “The Mandolarian Season 2.5” and that’s actually what we damn near got here. I’m not really complaining, because as the two of them are currently written, Mando is by far a much more interesting character than Boba Fett, which honestly is a damn shame. Boba has nearly as blank of a story as Mando did, all we know about him on screen is that he was a bounty hunter that enjoyed disintegrations and fell into a worm pit. Oh, and his father was executed by the Jedi in a pretty quick beheading. Other than that though, they could have written anything into his personal motivations and history from the time we saw him as a kid holding his father’s severed head to when we saw him next being assigned the job of capturing Han Solo.
No word yet on if we’re going to get more Boba, at this point I’m not sure I would want more. What we do know though is that there’s an Obi-want tv series coming up and it’s going to take place on Tattooine again, so maybe we’ll see more Boba there.
