Judge denies Publix’s bid to toss lawsuit over worker’s COVID-19 death

A recent ruling by Miami-Dade Circuit Judge Carlos Lopez follows pleadings by the supermarket giant that the dispute must be handled as a workers’ compensation claim rather than a lawsuit.

    Got a paywall notice on trying to open the article.
    I am so tired of companies trying to handle legal matters as internal matters though. Trying to force employees and customers to give up their access to what is supposed to be a fair justice system is some evil dystopian nightmare shit.
