His attorneys arranged to give ’em up back when they were talking about, and losing the case, trying to use “Executive Privilege” to block the NARA from giving those records that the [mal]Administration had given to the NARA that the Jan 6 Committee wanted. When Trump lost that case, the attorneys, seemingly, decided they’d better get those records back to the NARA, or Trump would face a simple felony conviction for violation of the PRA, and, of course, obstruction.
The “love letters” are just the sort of sensational bit, likely there’s a fair amount of criming revealed in the rest of the records, because the Trump [mal]Administration was just a four-year-long rolling crime scene.
