Phil Spencer Says Xbox Is ‘Not a Free Speech Platform’ for Politics – IGN

Xbox chief Phil Spencer had some relatively firm words about how online platforms moderate (or fail to moderate) hate speech and toxic behavior, going so far as to say that Xbox is not a free speech platform.

    As is Xbox’s right. Free speech just means the government can’t lock you up for criticizing them. It does NOT mean that a private organization is required to provide you a platform to say things that make them look bigoted.
